Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering questions about services and pet care.
- Schedule appointments, process payments, and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
- Assist with kennel duties including feeding, cleaning, administering medications, and monitoring animals’ health and behavior.
- Handle animal handling tasks such as dog restraint, grooming, and basic training to ensure safe interactions.
- Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and reception space to uphold health standards.
- Provide compassionate pet care by observing animals’ behavior, reporting concerns, and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.
Experience
- Previous experience working with animals in a veterinary clinic, kennel, or pet grooming setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal handling skills are valuable assets.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for animal handling or equipment setup.
- Familiarity with pet care routines including feeding, grooming, pet sitting, and basic veterinary assistance is advantageous.
