Job Description
Position: Landscape Crew Member
Location: Rocky Gardens Landscape Group, LLC - Beloit, Ohio
Reports To: Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Landscape Crew Member is responsible for assisting in the maintenance and beautification of outdoor spaces. This position involves performing a variety of landscaping tasks including planting, mulching, weeding, trimming, and maintaining landscaping equipment. The Crew Member will work as part of a team to ensure high-quality results for residential and commercial properties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants as directed.
- Clean up, edging, and mulching of landscape beds.
- Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and bushes.
- Maintain and clean tools, equipment, and machinery.
- Assist with the installation of hardscaping elements such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
- Rake leaves and remove debris from lawns, flower beds, and garden areas.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment.
- Communicate with supervisors regarding work progress and any issues encountered.
- Assist with snow removal and other seasonal services as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience preferred.
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment and tools (e.g., mowers, trimmers, blowers).
- Knowledge of plant care and horticultural practices.
- Physical stamina and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform manual labor.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
Compensation:
Hourly wage based on experience and starts at $16-$21 per hour, with opportunities for overtime and performance-based incentive bonuses.
