What are the responsibilities and job description for the High School Physics Teacher position at Rocky Bayou Christian School?
Job Description: The teacher will help students learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christian men and women to the praise and glory of God. Teach all subjects assigned in the designated grade, adhering to the course instruction as prescribed in the Curriculum Guide. Integrate biblical principles and the Christian philosophy of education throughout the curriculum and activities. Employ a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Teacher will strive to accommodate all children to meet their respective needs in the classroom, to include special services students’ needs. Must be able to teach course instruction for multiple science subjects.
Job Requirements: Must possess minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Science Education, or related field, or have Bachelor’s degree with 18-semester credit hours in specialty. Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education requirement, according to RBCS requirements.
Must demonstrate proficiency in the computer programs classroom/school management. Needs working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Database software. Must have ability to use technology in lesson plans- such as projectors, iPads, and online videos.

A strong, clear Christian testimony, acknowledging Jesus Christ as Savior, and seeking to live as His disciple
Must be a member/regular attender at a local Trinitarian church
A demonstrated acceptance without reservation of the Rocky Bayou Christian School Statement of Faith
A mature, godly spirit that desires spiritual growth as evidenced by his/her prayer life, Bible study and spiritual outreach to others
A Christian role-model (Luke 6:40) in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God's biblical standards for sexual conduct
Must enroll any school aged children in Rocky Bayou Christian School or other approved Christian education venue
Must complete the Philosophy of Christian Education course provided by Rocky Bayou Christian School
