Plant Controller

POSITION SUMMARY :
Responsible for the financial reporting, operational metrics and budget process for the site. Partners with operations to understand the drivers of expenses and financial variances versus the forecast and operational plan. Provides clear financial information to drive process improvements and decision making. Prepares and maintains the plant P&L, annual budgets, maintains GAAP control of financial responsibilities and provides analytical support to all plant functions and plant internal customers. Provides support as needed for the New Jersey site accounting requirements. Analytical support includes but is not limited to inventory control, cost accounting, process improvement, audit preperation and management, financial analysis, and capital oversight. This position must provide information in an accurate and timely manner to allow for critical decision making as well as contribute insight and support to overall annual plant strategic planning and execution. This position reports to the site General Manager.

ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Monthly/Quarterly Financial Statement Preparation and Presentation
• Sales/Marketing Product Cost Analysis/Requests
• Manufacturing Operations Cost & Expense Analysis
• Audit & year-end related accounting activity, specifically P&L related items, e.g. sales and cost of goods sold.
• Assist in Annual COGS MFG related budget.
• Prepare and report departmental expense budget(s).
• Prepare WI Div. Budgeted P&L for presentation.
• Plant accounting issue resolution, plant business process improvement, Core Leadership Team (CLT) membership, and employee performance reviews
• Support other plants as needed in budget development, P&L development, and cost accounting.
• Plan & Manage WI Short Term Disability Cost updates
• IT Report Development & Enhancements
• Position includes at least one direct report.

FLSA: Exempt (salary)

Grade 14

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. MBA or CPA are a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of accounting experience with 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing setting will be required.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and spreadsheet server is required.
• Previous experience with an ERP system is required.
• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate speed, consistency and accuracy in all tasks.
• Ability to create and present PowerPoint financial presentations is required.

This position is based in Sheboygan, WI. The selected candidate must travel to Sheboygan at least once every 6 weeks until relocation begins. Relocation to WI needs to begin within two years of being selected.
