THE ROLE
Rocklin Unified School District is hiring a senior Network Systems Engineer. This is a hands-on enterprise infrastructure role where networking is the primary mission — LAN/WAN architecture, HP/Aruba switching and routing, enterprise wireless, firewall security, OSPF-based redundancy, protocol analysis, and API-driven monitoring. If you’ve spent years mastering enterprise networks and you want a role where the network is truly yours to own, this was written for you.

YOUR CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (NETWORK ENGINEERING FIRST)

- Manage VMware virtualization, iSCSI SAN/NAS storage, and enterprise backup/DR systems
- Maintain district-wide device fleet: imaging, deployment, and lifecycle management across all sites
- Document all infrastructure changes, maintain network diagrams, and communicate maintenance windows proactively
YOUR NETWORK EMPHASIS RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and maintain API-driven monitoring dashboards integrating SIEM solutions for real-time network health and security visibility
- Implement deep logging and accountability systems tracking all admin changes, firmware updates, and configuration modifications
