You’ll work in a manufacturing setting with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs (occasionally to 75 lbs). Expect regular use of hands and fingers to handle and adjust equipment, and moderate reaching, pushing, pulling, gripping, and grasping. Safety gear, including safety glasses and steel-toe footwear, is required when operating machinery.
Schedule
Full-time role, typically Monday–Friday, eight hours per day (40 hours/week). Overtime, evenings, or weekends may be needed to meet demand. Specific hours are set by management.
Required Qualifications
Hiring pay range: $19–$26 per hour. Individual pay varies with market factors and may reflect education, experience, knowledge, skills, and certifications.
In addition to base pay, employees are bonus eligible. This role currently participates in the Quarterly Bonus plan within the Individual Contributor tier.

Partnering closely with our Quality Engineer/Manager, you'll create and run CMM programs, validate intricate dimensions, and translate findings into clear documentation that keeps customers confident and production moving.
Day-in-the-life
- Program and operate CMM equipment to verify parts meet drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance to RBS quality standards.
- Inspect and test products, then produce inspection reports, certificates of conformance, and material certification packets for customers.
- Administer the calibration system (e.g., Gagetrack): schedule, document, and maintain instruments to procedure.
- Support scrap and rework activities for nonconforming product, driving documentation and corrective actions.
- Execute GR&R studies to validate measurement systems.
- Contribute to ISO 9001 quality system activities and assist with process audits.
- Maintain the corrective action log/database; track, record, and close actions on time.
- Move parts and components using manual handling, carts, and powered lift trucks as needed.
- Keep the work area organized and safe; follow all company policies and safety requirements.
- Tackle additional duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Required Qualifications
- Age 18 or older.
- High School Diploma/GED or significant relevant experience.
- 2 years in manufacturing quality control with ISO 9001 practice.
- 2 years operating CMMs (Zeiss hardware and/or Calypso software preferred).
- Proficient with Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Skilled with micrometers, calipers, gauges, and related measuring tools.
- Ability to read/write, perform basic math, and follow written and verbal directions.
- Advanced skill with CMMs, optical comparators, and other inspection tools.
- Associate’s degree in Quality Assurance or related industrial discipline.
- Certification in metal trades or Quality Control.
- Experience overseeing gage calibration and maintenance programs.
- Competence in control of monitoring and measuring devices.
- Working knowledge and application of SPC methods.
- Quality inspection and quality control experience
- Blueprint reading and tape measure proficiency
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) — Zeiss
- Calipers and micrometers
