Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and mechanical equipment.
- Repair electrical equipment using schematics, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct HVAC system repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal climate control within the facility.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for carpentry, painting, plumbing repairs, and general facility upkeep.
- Maintain facilities equipment including motors, pumps, conveyors, and other mechanical systems.
- Execute plumbing system maintenance and repairs to address leaks, clogs, or system failures promptly.
- Supervise or assist with maintenance painting projects to uphold the building’s interior aesthetics.
- Read and interpret schematics for electrical wiring and mechanical systems to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Use Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards by adhering to proper procedures during all maintenance activities.
- Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to internal requests for repairs or assistance within the facility.
- Lead or assist in supervising team members during maintenance operations when required.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles within manufacturing or residential environments.
- Strong electrical experience including repair of electrical equipment and understanding of electrical systems schematics.
- Hands-on knowledge of HVAC systems repair, plumbing system maintenance, carpentry, welding, and painting.
- Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation is a plus.
- Experience with maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, schematics reading devices such as ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment effectively.
- Supervisory experience or leadership skills that enable guiding team members through complex tasks is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and teamwork coordination.
