Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques.
• Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
• Support clinical teams in specialized areas such as critical care, emergency medicine, ICU, or geriatrics by following established protocols and aseptic techniques.
• Assist with patient transfers using safe transfer methods and equipment to ensure comfort and safety during movement.
• Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations while managing medical documentation and records with precision.
• Provide emotional support and effective communication to patients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease, ensuring their dignity and comfort.
• Participate in infection control practices, including proper use of PPE and adherence to aseptic procedures during patient care activities.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across outpatient clinics, long-term care facilities, hospice settings, or hospital units to deliver comprehensive care tailored to individual needs.

Experience

• Prior experience working as a CNA or in a similar caregiving role within long-term care facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, or home health environments.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/Epic/eClinicalWorks/Cerner) for accurate medical documentation and patient data management.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, and anatomy relevant to patient care across various specialties including geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, or trauma centers.
• Experience administering medications under supervision or following prescribed protocols; CPR certification required.
• Hands-on experience with patient transfer methods using Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices; proficiency in manual handling safety practices.
• Exposure to diverse healthcare settings such as emergency rooms (ER), intensive care units (ICU), surgical units (OR), or post-acute care environments like skilled nursing facilities or hospice care.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages—including children—and collaborate seamlessly within multidisciplinary teams committed to exceptional patient service.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
