Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer with over 10 years of engineering expertise, including at least 5 years of experience in fluid system or mechanical component design. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of mechanical systems involving fluid dynamics, pneumatic or hydraulic components, and a strong track record of driving complex designs from concept to production. Leadership experience or the demonstrated ability to lead projects and mentor others is essential.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of mechanical and fluid system components, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure manufacturability and smooth product transitions.
- Lead R&D initiatives
- Utilize advanced CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) for modeling, drafting, and detailing mechanical designs.
- Conduct detailed engineering analyses including structural, thermal, fluid dynamic, vibration, and tolerance assessments to validate performance.
- Engage directly with customers to understand technical requirements and provide design leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain awareness of new technologies and trends in mechanical and fluid systems to enhance design practices and product capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of mechanical design experience, preferably with 5 years working with fluid systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, or similar technologies.
- Strong leadership skills or a demonstrated ability to lead projects and guide less experienced engineers.
- Proficiency in CAD tools and familiarity with design verification tools and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform comprehensive engineering evaluations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers.
- Proactive problem-solver with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with electromechanical systems, sensors, actuators, or motion control.
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication processes, and design-for-manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements in Aerospace & Defense.
- Experience supporting full product lifecycle development and sustaining engineering.

Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
