Duties
- Prepare a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, cookies, and cakes, following established recipes and standards
- Decorate cakes with precision, incorporating various techniques such as piping, fondant work, and embellishments
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, dough sheeters, and decorating tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety regulations
- Package baked items attractively for sale or delivery while ensuring freshness and quality
- Assist with food production tasks during high-volume periods to meet customer demand
- Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold safety standards and minimize waste
Skills
- Extensive pastry preparation and cake decorating experience with attention to detail
- Proficiency in food production techniques including dough preparation and baking processes
- Strong knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures
