The Adult Education and Literacy Department is seeking English as a Second Language Instructors.

Duties:

Instruct adult ESL students in classes and learning experiences which will lead to the achievement of their educational and personal goals
Create lesson plans that follow the curriculum
Complete student and departmental records
Evaluate and document student progress
Use appropriate texts and teaching materials, as assigned by the Coordinator
Attend and participate in conferences related to teaching area
Attend program meetings and staff development activities
Assist students in the proper use of classroom equipment where appropriate
Show tolerance and flexibility in dealing with persons from disadvantaged social, economic and educational backgrounds
Show respect for cultural differences

Interested individuals must have the minimum of a Bachelor's degree and knowledge of basic computer skills. Experience teaching adults as well as working with ESL student populations is preferred.
