Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Painter to join our team in delivering high-quality vehicle refinishing and restoration services. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, painting, and detailing, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and attention to detail. This role involves preparing vehicles for painting, applying finishes using various techniques, and ensuring the final product meets our quality standards. Experience with dealership settings, auto estimating, and auto restoration is a plus. Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, and priming using hand tools and power tools
- Apply paint using airless paint spraying equipment, ensuring even coverage and smooth finish
- Perform buffing and polishing to achieve optimal shine and quality standards
- Repair minor dents, scratches, and imperfections through auto body repair techniques including welding when necessary
- Assist with auto glass replacement and other vehicle maintenance tasks as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency
- Collaborate with team members on vehicle restoration projects and provide exceptional customer service
- Use auto estimating skills to assess repairs required and communicate effectively with customers regarding work scope
Requirements
- Proven experience in auto body painting, auto repair, or related automotive fields; dealership experience is preferred
- Strong knowledge of auto body repair techniques, auto painting, buffing, detailing, and vehicle maintenance
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and heavy lifting procedures
- Mechanical knowledge including welding skills and auto glass replacement is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards in fast-paced environments
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients about repairs and estimates
- Experience in auto estimating and auto restoration projects is a plus
- Must be able to lift heavy objects safely and stand for extended periods during shifts
