Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Body Shop Painter Helper to assist our skilled auto body repair team. This position provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in vehicle restoration, auto painting, and bodywork. The ideal candidate will support painting, sanding, buffing, and other repair tasks while learning the trade from experienced professionals. Previous automotive refinish experience of 1 year is required . This role is essential in ensuring high-quality vehicle repairs and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Assist with vehicle preparation including sanding, masking, and detailing prior to painting
- Support auto painting processes using paint spraying equipment and power tools
- Help with buffing, polishing, and finishing painted surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional look
- Handle heavy lifting of parts and materials safely and efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper disposal of waste materials
- Follow safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment for self and others
Qualifications
- Previous experience or background in auto body refinish is required.
- Knowledge of auto painting, buffing, and detailing techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and paint spraying equipment
- Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and auto restoration processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship
