What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pump Room Attendant position at Rock House Farms (RHF)?
Summary Description:
This position is responsible for overseeing the pump room activities, materials, and equipment
Essential Duties:
- Mixes all filler, glazes, shades, oil, and paint extender to designated formula
- Gets necessary drum or drums from storage, moves to mixing area
- Uses mixing equipment and adds material as necessary to make required or requested amount of material
- Mixes finished for Repair section as requested
- Changes materials for spray booths, either in Pump Room or at spray booth as directed
- Is responsible for supplying each booth with the proper finishing material
- Watches gauges and agitators to insure a consistent pressure and mixture of finishing materials being used
- Oversees inventory records for pump room materials, incoming inventory, and spare parts for spraying & pumping equipment
- Repairs and/or maintains all pumps, tanks, regulators, lines, guns and other spraying and mixing equipment
- Observes plant safety rules
- Keeps work are clean and is quality conscious in performing duties
- Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous pump room experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull and bend over the course of 8 hours
- Must be able to lift and move 5-gallon bucket of material
- Must be able to move 55-gallon drums of material with drum dolly
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds, up to 100 pounds with assistance
