Coordinates functions between the Imaging and Patient Care Teams, performing Vascular Ultrasound exams with expert knowledge of equipment. Oversees technologists and staff in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and external offices to ensure quality patient care. Assists in departmental scheduling, supply management, and data collection for accreditation. Participates in staff hiring, training, and evaluations. Acts as technical director for IAC accreditation, maintaining reports and quality standards. Ensures equipment functionality, mentors staff, and updates protocols. Maintains credentials and participates in quality improvement activities. Requires an associate’s or bachelor’s degree, 4-5 years of experience, and registration as RVT or RVS. Proficient in carotid, extremity venous/arterial duplex, PVR, mesenteric duplex, and fistula studies.
