Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in a Med Surg/Swing Bed unit providing care for general medical, surgical, and rehab patients with 24/7 provider coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process and evidence-based practices.
• Perform health teaching, counseling, and support therapy or treatment, including delegation and consultation.
• Review and monitor treatment plans, refer patients for further evaluation, and document in compliance with regulations.
• Utilize resources effectively and execute delegated medical functions.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred or required within four years unless exempted.
• Current Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare Providers.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and perform manual tasks including patient transfers and equipment handling.
• Regular on-site attendance, with flexibility for night and weekend shifts.
  
  

Key Duties: Evaluate health status, provide patient education, support therapy, coordinate care, and ensure proper documentation. Must demonstrate manual dexterity and physical ability to assist with patient mobility and transport.
