Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging, exercise professional judgment, and deliver appropriate patient care.
- Assess patient conditions, provide instructions, and ensure accurate patient identification and documentation.
- Position patients and equipment to achieve high-quality images; evaluate image quality and annotate appropriately.
- Apply MRI safety principles, participate in Quality Control, and administer contrast medications with proficiency.
- Manage IV access, respond to adverse reactions, and follow safety protocols to prevent contamination.
- Supervise and train student and new technologists; utilize radiology systems effectively.
- Maintain work area cleanliness, organize equipment, and provide patient transport if needed.
- Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology, Sonography, Nuclear Medicine, or MRI technologist program.
- Valid ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, or ARMRIT certification; current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
- Minimum two years MRI experience and proficiency in advanced imaging modalities.
- State of Florida Radiologic Technologist licensure (preferred).
- Strong technical skills in MRI and related imaging modalities.
- Ability to exercise professional judgment, ensure patient safety, and perform quality control.
- Experience in contrast administration, venipuncture, and emergency response.
- Effective communication, training, and organizational skills.
