Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Stagehands and riggers to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the production of live performances, ensuring that all technical aspects run smoothly. Duties
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of stage equipment and props for rehearsals and performances.
- Collaborate with directors, stage managers, and other crew members to ensure seamless execution of productions.
- Operate stage machinery and lighting equipment as needed during performances.
- Maintain a clean and organized backstage area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Educate fellow crew members on equipment usage and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with cast and crew during performances to facilitate quick problem-solving.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in theater or concert production is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to write clear instructions and speak publicly as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to stagecraft and technical operations.
- Physical stamina to handle lifting, moving equipment, and standing for extended periods.
