ROCK Commercial Real Estate, LLC is a real estate broker specializing in the sale, leasing and management of commercial real estate in the South Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland region. ROCK is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to work 40 hours per week in its York office to support its property management operations.
Essential Functions, Duties And Responsibilities
Learn, understand and effectively implement accounting functions related to the commercial real estate industry
Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable function (invoice review, account allocation, payment (check or electronic), mailing, filing, scanning, obtaining W-9s, assisting with the processing of 1099s, vendor inquiries)
Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable function (billing, collections, late calls, deposits, filing, landlord and tenant inquiries, lease entry and tracking)
Handle all aspects of General Ledger function (account reconciliation, analysis, budgeting, financial statement processing, reporting)
Handle all aspects of Cash Management responsibilities (account maintenance, bank reconciliations, monitor daily activity)
Prepare Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, co-workers, landlords, tenants, vendors, etc.
Ability to consistently manage time effectively to meet daily work deadlines while handling a variety of tasks
Ability to enter data accurately, efficiently and timely; relentless attention to detail
Ability to work independently and with team members to meet goals and objectives
Utilize Sage 300 Commercial Real Estate accounting software and Salesforce CRM software to enter and update pertinent information concerning landlords, tenants, prospects, vendors, etc.
Attend meetings with clients and staff, as needed
All other related accounting and administrative tasks, as needed, to affirm ROCK's brand as a leading source of commercial real estate knowledge in the region
Qualifications
Associate's degree in accounting or equivalent work experience preferred
Experience with commercial real estate and Sage 300 CRE software preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products preferred
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team to meet goals and objectives
Proven record of meeting recurring deadlines and providing excellent internal and external customer service
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective listening and critical thinking skills
Relentless attention to detail
ROCK's regular office hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Individuals working a 40-hour work week from Monday through Friday are given the option of working 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 1-hour lunch.
