What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Principal Secretary position at Rochester Public Schools?
- Provides clerical support to the Assistant Principal plus other main office clerical duties as assigned.
- Assists Assistant Principal in scheduling process (registration, master schedule).
- Responsible for maintaining student records including grades, transfers, schedules, schedule changes, and class lists.
- Prepares correspondence and reports.
- Responsible for collecting and checking grade slips, entering information on the computer and distributing report cards.
- Performs other duties within the level of responsibility of position as assigned by the supervisor.
- Strong human relations skills to communicate and deal effectively with students, parents, administrators, staff and public.
- Computer skills, experience and proficiency with the following programs: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Access; experience with Skyward preferred.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and work independently.
- Ability to take initiative, and work under pressure.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and refocus.
- Must have completed or be willing to enroll and complete the Medication Administration Training course.
