Roch Capital is hiring for a Facilities Technician at our Wilmington site. The Facilities Technician will perform a variety of maintenance responsibilities to mechanical equipment, or the structure of the Facility and its surrounding grounds. - Ensure the timely completion of all Workspeed work orders assigned by Facilities management.
- Carry out tasks/projects related to the upkeep of the internal/external facility/grounds and company vehicles, as assigned.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks and corrective repairs of building systems and associated equipment.
- Comprehend and interpret directions, complete maintenance and repair record, and utilize inventory of parts and supplies.
- Conduct installation, inspections, repairs, troubleshooting and daily maintenance of buildings, infrastructures and facility equipment.
- Monitors systems for potential problems (or existing problems); communicates issues or problems for their resolution.
- Perform effective emergency maintenance as required, on call and after hours may be necessary.
- Implement and maintain appropriate logs, ledgers and other building maintenance records as required.
- Maintains ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors and subcontractor service providers (janitorial, landscaping, etc.)
- Completes preventive maintenance program to ensure that building systems and equipment meet or exceed their rated life
- Performs other duties as assigned including janitorial and maintenance.
- Maintains good tenant relations through prompt and courteous response to tenant requests within the guidelines.
- High school diploma required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related field experience in building operations maintenance in a commercial setting including in carpentry, roofing, electrical, and plumbing
- Knowledge of basic electrical principals
- Knowledge of Fire Life Safety equipment.
- Written and verbal communication skills. Ability to produce professional reports and email communication.
- Leadership, team work, prioritization and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent work ethic and integrity.
- Ability to interact with client and client employees, senior management, stall and vendors in a concerned and professional manner at all times.
- Visually inspect machinery and building.
- Walk up and down stairs or ladders for inspections and emergency procedure practice or implementation.
- Inspect alarms and emergency alarms - auditory and / or visual.
- Inspections requiring getting on hands and knees to inspect inaccessible areas.
- Ability to work weekends and extended hours as determined by business requirements.
- Climb ladders to adjust air flow and make inspections above ceiling.
- Able to perform rooftop inspections and maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to lift 100 lbs or more.
