Firm Background
Roc360 is a financial services and asset management platform for residential property investors in the United States. The firm connects fragmented loan markets with institutional capital through a branchless network of third-party originators, brokers, and in-house sales teams to originate loans to property investors who buy, rehab, resell, and/or rent properties. The firm originates and services multiple business-purpose loan products (“BPLs”), via various sales channels which, together with ancillary service offerings, provide an end-to-end experience that drives repeat customer transactions and profitability. The firm’s loan products include residential transitional bridge loans (“RTLs”) (including single and multi-family properties) and Rental Loans (including single and multi-family property rentals and rental portfolios).
Founded in 2014, Roc360 is headquartered in NYC, has approximately 450 team members globally across five countries over three continents, and can originate loans in 46 states and Washington, D.C. The firm’s founders have worked together for over 25 years and most of its senior management team has also enjoyed a long tenure at the firm. Through its proprietary technology-enabled Third-Party Originator and Direct-to-Borrower lending channels and strong brand recognition, the firm has funded over $18bn in loans since its inception.
Position Summary
The Marketing Technology Engineer (MarTech AI) designs, builds, and operates the technical systems that power marketing automation, customer data, analytics, and AI-driven personalization. This role owns integrations across a custom CRM, Snowflake, Segment, messaging platforms, paid media, and analytics tools, and is responsible for embedding LLMs and AI workflows directly into Marketing operations.
This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who can architect scalable systems, write production code, and partner closely with Marketing, Data & AI, and Product Teams.
Responsibilities
MarTech Architecture & Integrations
- Architect and maintain the end-to-end MarTech stack (custom CRM, CDP, automation, analytics, paid media).
- Build and maintain API integrations, webhooks, and serverless services connecting CRM, Segment, Snowflake, and activation platforms.
- Define and enforce event schemas, identity resolution, and customer data governance.
- Evaluate and integrate new platforms, including data unification and journey orchestration tools.
Marketing Automation & Activation
- Build scalable lifecycle automations, segmentation frameworks, and triggered campaigns across email, web, mobile, and paid media.
- Own technical integrations for Marketing Automations, SendGrid, WordPress, mobile apps, and ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn) and data dashboards.
- Implement server-side tracking, UTMs, and conversion instrumentation to support attribution and optimization.
Data Engineering & Analytics
- Own marketing data pipelines into Snowflake and activation pipelines out of Snowflake (reverse ETL).
- Write complex SQL to support funnel analysis, attribution, experimentation, and lifecycle reporting.
- Partner with analytics teams to support GA4 and Sigma dashboards and ensure metric consistency.
AI & LLM Integration
- Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic) into marketing automations and customer journeys.
- Build API-based AI services for content generation, personalization, summarization, classification, and enrichment.
- Design prompt templates, context enrichment, and RAG workflows using CRM and Snowflake data.
- Implement quality, safety, and governance controls for AI-generated content (validation, human-in-the-loop, compliance).
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and capabilities to improve marketing efficiency and personalization.
Engineering Excellence
- Write production-quality code in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Maintain Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing for MarTech systems.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system reliability, performance, and cost.
Required Qualifications
Technical
- 4–8 years in MarTech engineering, marketing systems, or data integration roles.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with Snowflake or similar warehouses.
- Experience integrating REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms and messaging systems (SendGrid or similar).
- Experience with Segment, GA4, and tag management (client- and server-side).
- Proficiency in Python or JavaScript; experience with serverless architecture.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs and building AI-powered workflows.
Marketing & AI Knowledge
- Strong understanding of lifecycle marketing, attribution, and funnel metrics.
- Experience applying AI to marketing use cases (content, personalization, scoring, classification).
- Understanding of AI safety, privacy, and governance in customer-facing systems.
Nice to Have
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, or RAG frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Experience with paid media APIs (Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling and observability platforms.
- Experience in SaaS, B2B, fintech, or data-heavy environments.
