Role Description This full-time, on-site Construction Estimator role is based in New York, NY. The Construction Estimator will prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including performing quantity take-offs, analyzing drawings and specifications, and identifying labor, material, and equipment requirements. Responsibilities include collaborating with project managers and engineers to clarify scope, requesting and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotes, and preparing bid proposals and cost summaries. The role involves monitoring cost assumptions throughout the bid process, maintaining up-to-date pricing databases, and supporting cost control during pre-construction and early project phases. The Construction Estimator will also communicate regularly with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project objectives.

Qualifications
- Strong construction estimating skills, including the ability to interpret plans, specifications, and scopes of work (Construction Estimating).
- Proficiency in performing accurate quantity take-offs using digital tools or estimating software (Quantity Take-offs).
- Experience with cost management, including pricing, forecasting, and analysis of labor, materials, and equipment (Cost Management, Budgeting).
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients (Communication).
- Familiarity with construction methods, building codes, and industry standards; experience in commercial or residential construction is a plus.
- Proficiency with relevant software such as Excel and estimating platforms; experience with project management tools is beneficial.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy under deadlines.
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience as a Construction Estimator, Project Engineer, or related preconstruction role is strongly preferred.
