Qualifications:What makes you stand out?

5 years of hands-on residential electrical service experience

Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring field technicians

Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and best practices

Capable of working indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions

Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Reliable, safety-focused, and team-oriented professional

Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a drug test
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Technical Expertise & Service Delivery
- Lead diagnosis and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and components according to safety codes and company standards
- Perform and oversee complex installations, service upgrades, and preventative maintenance
- Conduct system testing, load calculations, and inspections to verify proper operation and code compliance
- Serve as the field expert on escalated or technically demanding jobs, stepping in where others need support
- Maintain a thorough understanding of current NEC codes and local jurisdiction requirements
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Provide on-the-job mentorship and skills coaching to junior and mid-level technicians
- Lead by example, in technical quality, customer interaction, and professional conduct
- Assist management in performance feedback and identifying technician development opportunities
- Support onboarding of new field team members and help acclimate them to Roby standards
- Be a point of escalation in the field for technical questions, job-site decisions, and client concerns
Customer Engagement & Consultative Sales
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, diagnosing concerns, explaining findings, and presenting service options with confidence
- Recommend value-added solutions such as surge protection, panel upgrades, lighting improvements, EV charging, and energy-efficient products
- Provide accurate estimates, service reports, and thorough documentation for each visit
- Build lasting client relationships that reflect Roby Services' reputation for trust and quality
- Achieve individual and team service sales goals
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce and model adherence to all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment on every job site
- Educate clients on electrical safety best practices
- Ensure all work performed by the team meets permit, inspection, and code requirements
Operations & Reporting
- Work closely with dispatchers, supervisors, and the service team to coordinate and prioritize service calls
- Accurately record all completed work, parts used, time on site, and follow-up recommendations
- Provide field-level feedback to management on process improvements, equipment needs, and team performance
