We are seeking a Key Account Manager (Automotive) to own and grow long-term relationships with strategic OEM and Tier 1 customers in North America. This role is focused on account development, platform expansion, and sustained revenue growth—not short-term deal chasing.
As a trusted partner to customers, you will deeply understand their product roadmaps, organizational dynamics, and technical needs, and translate them into scalable LiDAR business opportunities across multiple vehicle programs and generations.
Note: This role requires strong relationship-building capabilities combined with solid automotive and technical understanding. We are not looking for transactional salespeople, but for individuals who can build multi-year, multi-program partnerships.
Key Responsibilities- Own and develop key customer accounts with a focus on long-term growth, retention, and platform expansion.
- Build deep relationships across multiple layers of customer organizations (engineering, purchasing, leadership).
- Drive account penetration, identifying opportunities across new vehicle platforms, trims, and future generations.
- Partner with Customer Program Managers and engineering teams to ensure successful program execution and high customer satisfaction.
- Lead commercial alignment for ongoing programs, including pricing strategy, change management, and contract evolution.
- Act as the voice of the customer internally, aligning product, engineering, and strategy teams with real customer needs.
- Develop and execute account plans, including stakeholder mapping, competitive positioning, and growth roadmap.
- Maintain continuous engagement with customers beyond RFQ cycles—proactively shaping future opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering, Business, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in automotive account management, preferably managing OEM or Tier 1 relationships.
- Strong understanding of ADAS, LiDAR, or automotive electronics systems.
- Proven track record in growing existing accounts and managing long-term customer relationships.
- Ability to engage both technically and commercially with customers.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin is a plus.
- Experience working with major OEMs (e.g., GM, Ford, Stellantis, Lucid, Rivian, Tesla, VW, etc.).
- Familiarity with automotive sourcing cycles and platform-based business models.
- Background in sensor, perception, or system-level solutions.
- Experience working in global, cross-cultural organizations.
