Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant to join our property management team. This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring the smooth financial operations and organizational efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting skills, experience with various financial software, and a passion for maintaining accurate financial records, as well as an interest in commercial property management and commercial leasing.

Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting using software such as QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Maintain accurate records of payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting requirements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports, statements, and supporting documentation in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Support budgeting activities by tracking expenses and assisting with financial analysis.
- Provide administrative support including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized filing systems for financial documents.
- Collaborate with external auditors or accountants during audits or financial reviews as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within non-profit or corporate environments.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Solid understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax compliance procedures.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills; ability to perform bank reconciliations and account analysis accurately.
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining high standards of accuracy.
- Strong communication skills.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
