Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Maintain floors through buffing and floor care techniques to ensure they are clean and well-presented.
- Conduct commercial cleaning duties in various facilities, ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote sustainability within the facility.
- Respond promptly to requests for cleaning services or maintenance issues from staff or management.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and maintain a positive work environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or commercial cleaning is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Skills in buffing, floor care, industrial cleaning, or residential painting are advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
