What are the responsibilities and job description for the HUMAN RESOURCE ASSISTANT (Robinson Rancheria Tribal Members Only) position at ROBINSON RANCHERIA RESORT & CASINO?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements while maintaining ethical and confidential handling of employee information.
- Maintain professional and courteous communication with employees, applicants, department leaders, and external vendors.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions including new hires, status changes, terminations, and benefits enrollments and updates.
- Manage monthly benefits enrollment processes and ensure accurate and timely benefits billing reconciliation.
- Maintain employee personnel files, including I-9 documentation and compliance-related records, ensuring proper filing and retention standards.
- Conduct onboarding for new hires, including paperwork completion, system setup, and training coordination.
- Maintain employee training records within HRIS and ensure documentation is current and complete.
- Manage daily updates to the applicant tracking system to reflect recruitment activity, hiring progress, and onboarding status.
- Prepare employment-related correspondence including offer letters, applicant communications, and HR documentation.
- Coordinate and prioritize departmental workload, including assignment and review of administrative tasks to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Support development of departmental goals, initiatives, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and service delivery.
- Process invoices, requisitions, billing documents, and other administrative transactions as directed.
- Assist HR leadership with special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned.
- Conduct inventory and maintain tracking of departmental supplies and resources.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- All applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must have strong verbal and written communication, organizational, data entry and clerical skills required.
- Must maintain employee confidence and protect operations by keeping human resource information confidential.
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
- Must possess satisfactory data entry skills.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
