SUMMARY:
The Banquet Assistant is a professional who supports the work of the Banquet Manager in various tasks. They will oversee the planning of events with the utmost of professionalism.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for helping the Banquet Manager run the Banquet Department.
- Assists with booking and planning events.
- Assists in all areas of staffing, training and problem solving.
- Work with clients, staff, and vendors to coordinate the requirements for an event.
- Assist in setting up and breaking down buffet or other special food service.
- To provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire event process.
- Anticipate guests needs.
- Extreme attention to detail and quality.
- Present in professional appearance and mannerisms.
- Other duties assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- All applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Basic mechanical ability preferred.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.
- Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and any shift.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS/OTHER
- Must be able to pass background check and receive a gaming license from the Robinson Rancheria Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
- Must pass an annual Title 31 exam.
- Must be able to complete pre-employment drug test.
- Must be able to obtain Food Handlers Certificate/ABC Certification
