What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Legal Assistant - third party insurance defense position at Robinson Pecaro & Mier, P.A.?
We are a well-established firm located in the Sunrise/Weston/Davie/Plantation area of South Florida and are looking for a Legal Assistant for an Associate with at least two years of third party insurance defense experience. Could this be you?
Qualified candidates must have excellent organizational skills and be able to work independently. In addition, the candidates must have experience using Microsoft Office. Knowledge of Time Matters/Billing Matters is a plus. Candidates should also have experience with e-filing/e-courtesy in Florida State civil courts.
Candidates must have excellent verbal, written, grammatical, and proofreading skills. We are seeking a self-starter and a team player with outstanding multi-tasking skills who is reliable and has a can-do attitude.
Primary duties will include creating various legal documents such as discovery, motions, correspondence, maintaining an attorney's calendar, and communicating with clients and opposing counsel on a regular basis. Other duties include scheduling depositions, medical examinations, hearings and conferences, and calendaring events.
