We are looking for a VDC Coordinator to communicate with our project teams, train field team members, design partners and trade partners to realize 3D/4D/5D/6D benefits and application to our projects. The VDC Coordinator will help us to provide the most innovative, precise and efficient services to our clients. We are looking for a highly innovative candidate with excellent problem solving skills, who will work with the Virtual Design and Construction team to further the use of technology to provide our clients with the best, most accurate services possible.

The VDC Coordinator will help us to provide the most innovative, precise and efficient services to our clients. - Assist in sales presentations, marketing efforts related to Building Information Modeling (BIM) as required.
- Participate in project kick off, design, preconstruction, and operations/project meetings; assist in VDC/BIM-related work sessions/meetings, as required.
- Obtain building models and other electronic documents from design team.
- Perform site visits and collect data required to perform modeling tasks.
- Assist preconstruction with quantity extraction and ensure preparation of clear, properly formatted material takeoff schedules from building model.
- Perform clash detection of various building design disciplines during preconstruction to assist design team’s quality control efforts and to ensure constructability of projects during design.
- Develop animated construction timelines within building model to demonstrate 4D scheduling/sequencing/phasing simulation.
- Prepare models as virtual mock-ups for visualization, functionality and/or constructability.
- Strive to attain 100% Customer Satisfaction for all VDC/BIM projects, as well as internal satisfaction.
- Assist with creation, development and ongoing maintenance of BIM models (or conversion of 2D plans or PDF’s to 3D models) for projects.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture and/or Associates degree in drafting/design with 5 years’ experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of Field/operations experience. 2 Years of Construction experience with BIM/VDC Experience a plus.
- Knowledge of, & willingness to learn effective use & application of Revit Architecture, AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Revit Structure, Revit MEP, Fuzor, Assemble Systems, Google Sketch Up, Lumion, Photo Shop & related programs.
- Effective use of non-BIM, Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, Power Point, Project.
- Experience in & passion for learning & using new VDC/BIM technologies/related design/graphics software.
- Proficient blueprint reading, document interpretation for all design disciplines.
- Understanding and application of estimating/preconstruction/construction techniques.
