SALARY: GRADE 61 - $2,996.23 monthly – Starting Salary

WORK LOCATION: Child Nutrition Department
GENERAL DUTIES:
To prepare palatable and nutritious meals to all students in a cost effective manner and to incorporate concepts of good nutrition as a part of the total educational program.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Degree and/or five years of management experience in food service or related areas.
- Ability to assist in the implementation of the requirements of the Child Nutrition Program.
- Evidence of ability and skills to provide good nutrition as a part of the total education program.
- Ability to help plan menus and assist in nutrition analysis of menus.
- Ability to monitor facilities working conditions and recommend methods for increased efficiency.
- Ability to plan and conduct staff meetings and workshops for food service personnel and advise managers in preparing requisitions.
- Ability to help coordinate warehouse and vendor deliveries, storing foods, controlling inventories, and keeping up-to-date inventory of USDA commodities.
- Ability to assist in evaluating cafeteria managers and evaluation of school cafeterias.
- Evidence of ability and skills to provide good nutrition as a part of the total education program.
