What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate - Web Order Shipping Specialist position at ROBERTSON HGT SUPPLY CO OF OHIO?
Warehouse position focusing on pre-packing, packing, labeling and shipping of orders from internet sales. General warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, and general material handling. Standard hours: 7:30-4:30 M-F, plus one Saturday per month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Prep, pack, and ship daily orders received from internet sales sites.
· Pack orders in the correct package type specified, with a focus on damage prevention.
· Ensure that the proper shipping label is applied to each package and that a packing slip is enclosed.
· Double check to ensure that the shipped quantity is correct and that the proper item is shipped.
· Ensure that special handling items include the proper customer notifications in the package.
· Move all “ready” shipments to the staging area for the proper carrier. Assist the carriers in loading packages onto their trucks.
· Prep/pre-pack fast moving items for future shipment.
General Warehouseman Duties.
· Unload trucks, receive/check in products, report shortages or damage.
· Put stock away in proper primary / secondary locations.
· Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse.
· Notify your supervisor of any inventory discrepancies.
· Assist as assigned with general warehouse duties for in store sales. Includes pulling and tagging orders for pickup or delivery and general material handling and stocking.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS:
· Work independently and as a team player.
· Show basic computer literacy and be willing to learn computer systems and software.
· Be physically able and willing to lift and move large objects.
· Forklift certified or able to be certified -with past experience.
· Valid driver’s license.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Willingness and desire to learn and grow into other positions.
