The Commercial HVAC Product Specialist / Estimator supports the growth and success of the commercial HVAC division through estimating, technical expertise, engineering support, and project coordination. This role is responsible for preparing quotations, supporting sales teams, assisting customers and contractors, and providing technical guidance for commercial HVAC and hydronic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Quotations
- Prepare quotations for:
- Commercial rooftop HVAC systems
- VRF and ductless systems
- Commercial boilers and hydronic systems
- Review plans, specifications, and bid documents.
- Coordinate pricing and product availability with manufacturers and vendors.
Technical & Engineering Support
- Provide technical support to sales teams, contractors, engineers, and customers.
- Assist with commercial HVAC system design and application engineering for warm air and hydronic systems.
- Interpret blueprints and recommend equipment selections and system solutions.
- Maintain strong knowledge of commercial HVAC products and industry trends.
Sales & Customer Support
- Generate commercial Rheem HVAC sales
- Call on targeted mechanical contractors
- Call on select engineers and architects
- Call on select large Rheem contractors with our outside sales team
- Support sales teams in growing commercial business opportunities.
- Conduct commercial jobsite visits to review project conditions and assist with application or installation concerns.
- Participate in contractor meetings, project reviews, and customer support activities.
Purchasing & Project Coordination
- Assist in purchasing and procurement for commercial HVAC projects.
- Coordinate equipment orders, deliveries, and project timelines.
- Work with internal teams and vendors to resolve project-related issues.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial HVAC, estimating, hydronics, or technical support preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems including rooftops, VRF, ductless, boilers, and hydronics.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software preferred.

Work Schedule & Compensation
- Salary range is flexible and commensurate with prior relevant experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be determined based on skills, applicable work history, and overall fit for the role. In addition to base pay, we offer performance-based bonuses with commissions, and a company car program.
