Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Attorney role based in West Palm Beach, FL. The Attorney will manage a caseload from intake through resolution, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence. Daily responsibilities include analyzing complex legal issues, developing case strategies, and providing clear, practical legal advice to clients. The role involves representing clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials, as well as negotiating settlements where appropriate. The Attorney will collaborate with colleagues and staff to prepare for court appearances, ensure accurate case documentation, and meet all deadlines and procedural requirements.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law with experience handling litigation matters and familiarity with court procedures.
- Background in Labor and Employment Law or a related practice area, or a demonstrated willingness to develop expertise in this domain.
- Proven ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice to clients, including risk assessment and strategic guidance.
- Proficient in legal Research, including case law, statutes, regulations, and secondary sources, with strong analytical and writing skills.
- Effective Negotiation skills for mediations, settlements, and dispute resolution, with a client-focused approach.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Prior litigation experience in Florida state or federal courts is highly beneficial.
