Senior Legal Counsel

We are currently recruiting for an incredible opportunity for a corporate lawyer to join a private equity firm as their Senior Legal Counsel, reporting to the Group General Counsel (UK based) and will take ownership and responsibility for supporting several of the US based companies within the portfolio.

We are currently recruiting for an incredible opportunity for a corporate lawyer to join a private equity firm as their Senior Legal Counsel, reporting to the Group General Counsel (UK based) and will take ownership and responsibility for supporting several of the US based companies within the portfolio.

Given the size of the team, the new nature of the role, and regular interaction with executives, the individual will need to have a highly resilient, goal-orientated personality, whilst also being able to operate under pressure, and take direction to deliver the General Counsel's requirements. You will be the most senior US lawyer for the group.

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of matters, including:

• Domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions
• Private equity and investment work
• Restructuring
• Joint ventures and corporate governance
• General corporate advisory work for a diverse client base

The Candidate

• 5 years post-qualification experience in Corporate law
• Strong experience across M&A and general corporate matters
• Ideally experience working on private equity deals
• Experience working in a reputable City, international or national firm
• Experience drafting and negotiating SPAs, articles of association, shareholder agreements, due diligence, and all ancillary documents
• Commercially minded with excellent drafting and communication skills
• Keen to take on responsibility and contribute to the growth of a busy business
