Reporting directly to the Chief Accounting Officer, this is a highly visible leadership role responsible for leading the organization's controllership, financial reporting, operational accounting and internal control functions.

About the Director, Corporate Accounting
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing accounting organization across multiple functions.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Partner closely with the Chief Accounting Officer and executive leadership on strategic initiatives, operational improvements and finance transformation projects.
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting operations, financial controls, reporting processes and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting requirements, SOX and internal control frameworks.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, SEC reporting deliverables and supporting schedules.
- Partner with external auditors and advisors throughout quarterly reviews, year-end audits and regulatory reporting.
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures and best practices across the finance organization.
- Build strong relationships across Accounting, Finance, Investments, Treasury, Tax, Legal and Operations to support the continued growth of the business.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline; CPA required.
- 10-15 years of progressive accounting leadership experience across Big 4 public accounting and industry.
- Demonstrated experience leading sizeable accounting teams within a complex public company, alternative investment manager or commercial real estate investment organization.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, SEC reporting, internal controls and SOX compliance.
- Experience supporting accounting for commercial real estate investments, real estate investment structures or alternative asset management platforms is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, develop and retain high-performing teams while building strong cross-functional relationships.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills with experience partnering with executive leadership.
- Track record of driving process improvements, operational efficiencies and finance transformation initiatives.

Salary : $200,000 - $230,000
