Workday Finance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Workday Finance Manager to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that requires expertise in Workday Financial Management to support our client’s financial operations and system optimization. The ideal candidate will play a key role in enhancing system functionality, ensuring data accuracy, and providing valuable insights through financial analytics.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee the ongoing development, configuration, and security of the Workday platform, ensuring it meets organizational needs.
• Conduct regular system audits to guarantee data integrity and accuracy within Workday.
• Generate detailed reports and analytics to guide strategic business decisions.
• Provide leadership for departmental operations related to Workday, including system upgrades and enhancements.
• Evaluate current system configurations and address inquiries regarding system capabilities.
• Identify improvement opportunities, develop solutions, and implement new functionalities through thorough testing.
• Coordinate and execute system testing, including creating test plans and scenarios, along with managing user acceptance testing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related issues and inquiries efficiently.
• Stay informed about Workday updates and implement best practices to maximize system performance.
• Offer training and support to end-users, ensuring they understand and effectively utilize Workday functionalities.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Workday Financial Management systems.
• Strong skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis.
• Proficiency in financial reporting and month-end close processes.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Planning and ERP functionalities.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Workday integrations and optimize system performance.
• Knowledge of system testing methodologies and user acceptance testing processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication abilities to train and support end-users effectively.
