VP/Director of Finance

We are looking for an experienced and strategic VP/Director of Finance to join our client's team in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a contract position with the potential for a long-term opportunity, offering an excellent chance to contribute to the financial leadership of the organization. The ideal candidate will oversee key financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting and strategic planning.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage annual budgets, aligning financial goals with organizational objectives.

• Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and timely.

• Refine and enhance budget processes to improve efficiency and financial planning.

• Prepare comprehensive financial reports to support decision-making and compliance requirements.

• Create and maintain cash flow forecasts to ensure proper financial resource allocation.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.

• Collaborate with department leaders to align financial strategies with operational needs.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.

• Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence.

• Support interim financial operations while ensuring continuity in leadership.

• Proven experience in financial leadership roles, such as VP or Director of Finance.
• Expertise in managing annual budgets and month-end close processes.
• Strong knowledge of budget processes and financial reporting standards.
• Proficiency in creating and managing cash flow forecasts.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance in financial operations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams.
• Leadership experience, including mentoring and developing finance professionals.
