Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Generalist Project Manager to lead two high‑impact initiatives: the rollout and implementation of a NextGen 911 software platform and the technology infrastructure planning for a new facility build‑out. This is a hands‑on project management role requiring broad technical understanding, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate across technical teams, vendors, and public safety stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end project management for the deployment of a NextGen 911 software solution, including planning, requirements gathering, vendor coordination, testing, and go‑live support.
- Manage all IT components related to a new facility construction project, including infrastructure design, networking, cabling, hardware planning, security systems, and systems integration.
- Serve as the primary liaison between internal IT, Sheriff’s Office leadership, vendors, and construction teams.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, status reports, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with public safety standards, best practices, and agency requirements.
- Coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage project workflows to keep initiatives on schedule.
- Oversee change management, documentation, and process improvements throughout project lifecycles.
- Support project-related procurement activities and vendor management.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing, training coordination, and operational readiness for major technology transitions.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in IT project management or related technical project leadership roles.
- Strong background as an IT generalist—knowledge across networking, infrastructure, systems, and software implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology projects.
- Ability to work onsite and coordinate with public safety personnel, construction teams, and technical partners.
- Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
- Must successfully pass the Sheriff’s Office background investigation and drug screening.
Salary : $45 - $60
