Tax Staff - Public

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Tax Staff member to join our client's team in the Greenville, South Carolina area.

This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, preparing and reviewing tax filings for small businesses and individuals. With a focus on client success, the position provides a balanced schedule and a supportive work culture.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, with a focus on small business filings.

• Collaborate directly with business owners to collect and verify tax information, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• Stay informed on current tax regulations and laws to optimize filing strategies and maintain compliance.

• Utilize Drake Tax software to streamline and enhance the tax preparation process.

• Provide assistance to team members during peak tax periods and contribute to various accounting projects.

• Deliver exceptional service by addressing client inquiries and offering tax-related guidance.

• Maintain organized records and documentation to support reporting and compliance requirements.

• Participate in team meetings to share insights and improve processes.

• Support the implementation of new tools or software to increase efficiency in tax operations.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns.

• Strong knowledge of small business tax filings is highly preferred.

• Proficiency in Drake Tax software or similar tax platforms is advantageous.

• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple deadlines effectively.

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for client and team collaboration.

• Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tax-related tasks.

• Familiarity with individual and corporate tax filing processes.

• Ability to adapt to evolving tax regulations and industry standards.
