Tax Preparer

We are looking for an experienced Tax Preparer to join our team in Coopersville, Michigan. This Contract to permanent position offers a flexible schedule with opportunities to work evenings and Saturdays, making it ideal for those seeking adaptable hours. The role involves preparing individual and small business tax returns with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare individual and small business tax returns with precision and attention to detail.
• Utilize UltraTax software to ensure compliance with tax regulations and efficient processing of returns.
• Handle high volumes of tax filings, contributing to the team’s completion of approximately 5,000 returns annually.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards.
• Adhere to company guidelines and tax laws, ensuring all returns are filed correctly and on time.
• Maintain confidentiality and secure sensitive client information throughout the preparation process.
• Manage flexible work hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate workload demands.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and accuracy in all returns.
• Provide support in improving processes and workflows for enhanced efficiency.
• Proven experience in preparing individual and small business tax returns.
• Proficient in UltraTax software or similar tax preparation tools.
• Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations applicable to individual and business filings.
• Ability to manage high volumes of tax returns while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information responsibly.
• Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays as needed.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a team environment.
