Tax Preparer

We are looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team in Canton, Massachusetts. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute during the busy tax season. Ideal candidates will bring expertise in preparing individual and corporate tax returns while demonstrating efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare accurate and timely individual tax returns in compliance with current regulations.
• Handle corporate tax return preparation, ensuring all financial data is properly documented.
• Utilize tax software such as Intuit ProSeries to streamline processes and maintain consistency.
• Collaborate closely with clients to gather required information and clarify any discrepancies.
• Review financial records and statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Stay updated on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide informed guidance.
• Maintain organized records for easy retrieval and reference during audits or reviews.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to minimize errors and improve overall reliability.
• Provide support and expertise to team members during high-volume periods.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of sensitive client information.
• Proven experience in tax preparation, including individual and corporate returns.
• Familiarity with tax software such as Intuit ProSeries or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of current tax laws and regulations.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
• Proficiency in reviewing financial documents and records.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
