Systems Business Analyst

We are looking for a skilled Systems Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Huntsville, Alabama. This role focuses on optimizing financial workflows and ensuring accurate data management across various systems. The ideal candidate will bring expertise with technical knowledge of working with HTML or JSON for APIs. We are looking for a technical-level resource with Zuora software knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document business requirements to streamline financial processes and ensure system efficiency.

• Collaborate with teams to create and test workflows that enhance the accuracy of journal entries.

• Utilize Zuora to automate journal runs and improve data reconciliation processes.

• Develop solutions to ensure revenue data aligns with organizational profit centers.

• Work closely with the AR team to associate journal entries with taxes and reconciliation requirements.

• Test and validate workflows to ensure accurate consumption of journal entries by relevant systems.

• Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data to maintain consistent reporting.

• Assist in integrating APIs to improve system functionality and data flow.

• Provide detailed business requirement documents to support project goals.

• Monitor and refine processes to reflect accurate data on a daily and weekly basis.

• Proven experience in business analysis within financial or systems-related domains.
• Strong knowledge of Zuora and its capabilities for automating journal runs.
• Expertise in creating and documenting business requirement documents.
• Familiarity with APIs and their role in system integration.
• Ability to test and validate workflows for accurate data consumption.
• Excellent problem-solving skills to address discrepancies in financial data.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
