Systems Administrator

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to provide end-user support and maintain core IT systems and infrastructure for a client in the Aerospace industry. This role blends hands-on technical support with systems administration, security, and project support.

Duration: Short-term contact with potential for extension or conversion

Location: 100% Onsite in Boise, Idaho

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8AM-5PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-tier technical support via tickets, phone, and email; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues onsite and remotely.
• Configure, support, and maintain workstations, peripherals, and network equipment; manage inventory and vendor coordination.
• Administer and support Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365 (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint), Duo, backup systems, and business applications.
• Support server, storage, virtualization, and hybrid cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Implement and monitor security controls, support vulnerability management, compliance, and disaster recovery efforts.
• Monitor system performance and reliability; proactively resolve issues to ensure uptime.
• Document procedures, provide end-user training, and support IT projects in collaboration with the IT Manager.
• Manage badge access and physical security systems using Genetec.
  

• 5 years of experience in end-user support or systems administration.
• Security certification preferred.
• Experience with AWS or Azure required.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10 , Active Directory, Microsoft 365, VPNs, and Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on experience supporting desktops, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
• Experience with system upgrades, patching, and software deployment.
• Strong time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate across teams, and handle confidential information professionally.
