Staff Accountant

We are looking for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Irmo, South Carolina. This role is integral to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations, including maintaining records, processing transactions, and supporting key financial activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-focused, and capable of collaborating with various teams to meet organizational goals.Responsibilities:• Prepare and post accurate journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.• Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Assist with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements adhering to company policies and accounting standards.• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely posting and payment tracking.• Support audit preparation by gathering required documentation and ensuring compliance with regulations.• Collaborate on budgeting activities to help monitor and manage organizational financial goals.• Review and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose corrective actions.• Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion of financial operations.• Maintain the confidentiality of financial information and safeguard sensitive data.• Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Proven experience in accounting roles, with a focus on general ledger and journal entries.• Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet tools.• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.• Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities.• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.

Salary : $60,000 - $70,000
