What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Robert Half?
Orlando company is looking for a Staff Accountant. Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant will include, but not limited to the following.
-- Meets accounting operational standards by contributing financial information to strategic plans and reviews; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
-- Prepare and complete balance sheet reconciliations on assigned accounts timely and efficiently.
-- Reconcile assigned bank accounts ensuring the general ledger activity ties to the bank.
-- Responsible for recognizing errors in posted transactions and correcting.
-- Responsible for the completion of cash reports.
-- Maintains records to be able to retrieve and respond to all accounting inquiries.
-- Assists the Controller and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in month-end closings including but not limited to journal entries.
-- Responsible for becoming cross-trained and back up for accounting positions.
-- Reconcile bank statements and maintain the general ledger.

- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2 years of experience.
- Analytical problem solving skills.
- Collaboration/Teamwork – build relationships across departments
