Staff Accountant

Our client is a dynamic organization seeking a detail-oriented and organized accounting detail oriented to join their team. The Staff Accountant with an Accounts Payable focus will be responsible for supporting the accounting department in all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and vendor communications. This role offers an opportunity to grow within a busy accounting team while contributing to the company’s financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities: Process and reconcile accounts payable transactions, including vendor invoices, expense reports, and purchase orders. Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, and compliance with company policies. Maintain vendor records and manage vendor communications. Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Assist with account reconciliations and reporting as needed. Support internal and external audits with timely and accurate documentation. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure proper financial reporting.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with [insert software if known, e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP] preferred). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
