What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Accountant position at Robert Half?
Responsibilities:
• Oversee property tax records, process payments, and track assessed values to ensure accurate reporting.
• Approve and initiate wire transfers while maintaining detailed cash management documentation.
• Review and document lease provisions using Yardi and Excel, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Calculate retail and percentage rent, prepare reconciliations, and coordinate tenant communications.
• Process internal management fee payments and ensure adherence to local and state regulations for all entities.
• Generate journal entries, perform monthly bank reconciliations, and review balance sheet accounts such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and prepaid expenses.
• Assist in budgeting for taxes, insurance, and licenses while supporting property acquisitions and onboarding.
• Provide backup support for accounts payable and receivable teams and contribute to policy development.
• Participate in software implementation projects and complete ad-hoc assignments as required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes, including bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and concepts, with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience with Yardi software and commercial property accounting is mandatory.
• Familiarity with general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated skills in handling complex financial transactions and ensuring compliance.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
