Sr. Accountant (PART-TIME)

We are looking for a skilled PART TIME Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Spokane, Washington. This position focuses on overseeing critical accounting tasks such as Accounts Receivable management and reconciliation processes while supporting operations across multiple branches. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and proficient in handling complex financial data in a fast-paced work environment.This is an immediate part-time (20 hours per week) contract engagement. The ideal candidate will have non-profit experience Responsibilities:• Manage Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate processing.• Perform account reconciliations, including bank and general ledger accounts.• Support the financial operations of multiple branch locations by maintaining organized records and workflows.• Utilize Excel extensively for data analysis, reporting, and tracking.• Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance and accuracy in all accounting processes.• Prepare and review journal entries to support month-end and year-end closing procedures.• Conduct general ledger maintenance to ensure accurate financial reporting.• Assist with special accounting projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.• Ensure all financial activities align with organizational standards and policies.• Proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for reporting and analysis.• Strong experience in account reconciliation processes, including bank and general ledger accounts.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting roles, preferably with exposure to non-profit organizations.• Familiarity with accounting software.• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment.• Solid understanding of general ledger, journal entries, and month-end closing procedures.• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.• Positive attitude and adaptability to varied tasks and responsibilities.
